Hi Guys, I just thought I'd throw a little question out there.
I've been to Bali 11 times (12th in a few months) since the early 80's and absolutely love it. We have many Balinese friend we visit when we go over. Personally, I preferred how Bali was in the 80's. It wasn't as built up and there were no shopping centres or airconditioned shops. It is still a beautiful place but I loved the fact that things didn't always work and the toilets in the street restuarants where holes in the ground. You never knew when there was going to be a black out or when the roads were going to flood. I actually worry a little about it as every year it gets that much more westernised and at some point I think it will be another Hawaii or similar. Not that there's anything wrong with that but it's ashame to see it loose it's uniqueness.
