I first went back in 1985 and it was just lovely and peaceful. Slow and cultural.Art markets were just dirt ground.
Although when we had to buy bandaids they were not treated or sterile so a wound would get worse.
There were no electrical products at all to be bought anywhere so you were stuck there if you needed anything in that line.
Plus the pavements were shocking and many a fall were to be had and then those un sterile bandaides would appear LOL.......
Oh and how I remember the clothes in patchworks that were for sale that had rust and navy in colour with white and as soon as you washed them they would fall apart or the colour would run everywhere LOL>
In some way i am glad of change, I would not have taken small children then, I would now.
But for the whole as a place it was a much lovlier place back then.
