ah another one remebering no 1 disco. what a great place went there in the early 80's all the local boys wanting to dance with white western women and trying of course back then to get a ride to australia. went many times with groups of 6 girls we also rode on back of motorbikes and walked around late at night without a care in the world couldnt and wouldnt do it now of course. went back to bali in 1990 and was disappointed of the change but with change is also good for the balinese. remember sanur with the village there before the bypass now all the local people have to live far away from their workplace which is not good for them, again progress i guess. went back in 2003,2004, 2005 and again this year. although the change is different i still see the basis of bali and the people away from the make up which is now on the facade of bali. i guess a seasoned traveller of 20 + trips and haven taken hubby no 2 there and children we are all bali converts and just love the place to bits cant wait togo back in 15 days time and counting down.
