Why BALI?

We're living in Borneo and after having read all the JBRs & postings here, I'm still wondering- why do so many forumites keep repeating their trips to Bali when there are so many other places in the world that are also worth visiting as well?
eg I love Australia and would probably make a trip once in 2 years albeit different regions, but what with having to work, and save for travels , I would also visit other parts of the world as well.
What say you , forumites- what keeps drawing you back to Bali and not say, Thailand or the Bahamas or Florida- I'm curious.
