Everything you have written makes perfect sense but I have a comment re 3. It's not ALWAYS about the money. There have been plenty of friendly episodes where no business was expected or done. Many people are friendly to tourists in ANY country for no financial reason. Humanity wants to help humanity. Unfortunately the minority that do otherwise get more press and we start to think they are the majority.
