It is "The Day before we go to Bali" !!!! 15 months of planning, and a lot of saving is now behind us.
It is all the savings that is causing me heart palpitations this morning. It has fallen to me to be the "withdrawer of holiday cash".
It appears we are going on a cash only holiday. The Villa is being paid with cash. Our driver is being paid with cash. We are taking cash for most of our spending money, and day to day living expenses, and I am the lucky soul who gets to withdraw it!
Its not a million dollars... but its still more than I have ever held. I want a police escort! I want to have two (cute?) beefy, burly and well ARMED escorts... ooerr... maybe they can open the door of my own private limo, escort me safely into the lush confines, and then run alongside the moving vehicle, with their shirts off.. muscles rolling (hubby assures me it is "rippling" muscles that I am after), sweat glistening upon their...... err.. yes, where was I?
Anyway, this brings me to the point I needed to ask... I've checked the archives, and I know of a couple of recommended money changers around Kuta, but can anyone recommend a good reliable money changer in Legian near the Kumala Hotel?
Reputable is really necessary... my auntie has problems counting with zero's and will mix up 1000's and 100,000's, my mum is half blind (thanks to recent laser surgery) so won't be able to read the notes, and I'm not letting hubby touch the money because then he might not give it back! (poor man, doesn't understand the females need to shop! He is going to spend a goodly portion of our trip sobbing in the corner, when not being consoled by a cold bintang on the freshly cleaned beach).
So if anyone can recommend a money changer within cooeee of our Villa I'll be most appreciative.
As for me, I'm off to find myself a Limo for the day!
