That's a good idea - putting the thumb over the zeros. Also, you know how the notes have the denomination written in a big number in one corner and a small number in the other corner? My method is to arrange the notes in order in my purse so that the number facing me in the left hand corner is either the big number on the note (for big denominations) or the small number (for small denominations).. I find this a quick way to see what I have and not to give the wrong note. Haven't slipped up with this one yet ... hope it helps somebody else. :)
