I agree with both other suggestions, when I needed to change large amounts, i would go up rum jungle road towards jl legian, there is a garuda agent right at the intersection that would give a better rate than further back on rum jungle road, and only approx 3-4 minutes walk extra...I also used to ask for rp50,000 instead of rp100,000 then I could break it easier and also not get it mixed up with the rp10.000...
