Careful with all your stuff you want to bring to Bali, especially if you have a large amount of similar things (for example: clothes and books - in a large amount).
If you declare it as goods for donation, even it's for the local people,
the Local Customs could consider them as a subject to pay tax or a subject to be checked by the Quarantine..
As far as I know, things like used clothes is strictly restricted to be imported from foreign country in Indonesia to prevent the spread of disease from abroad.
But I guess there will be no problems for the books..
