Disease ridden used clothes? I always take over good quality used clothes that I WASH! And have never had a problem.

Customs are more likely to take an interest in bulk supplies of books or bulk pencils etc, and could possibly ask what are they for or who are you giving these to. Which really is none of their business and if questioned by customs they are most likely expecting you to donate them to them! Just have a clever answer if needed.
