assisting Balinese people living in poverty and handing out goods to beach sellers. Giving gifts to your friends is your perogative but trying to disguise it as some great humantarian effort is at the least pretentious. Those Balinese people who have regular interaction with tourists are, in the main, doing very well for themselves and likely have many little businesses on the side which operate very successfully using your capital. And hats off to their ingenuity but realise that these are not poverty stricken people but very successful entrepreneurs.
