We are about to leave for Bali this week but have been reading alot of reports regarding safety in Bali. Apart from the health issues and obvious other risks like pick-pockets, etc, my main concern (as I am taking my older children) is the terrorist risk. I have heard Bali has changed since we were last there 10 1/2 years ago), with scanners, etc, at restaurants. Can anyone who has been there recently or who is still there tell me how safe (or not safe) they felt and what precautions have been taken by the Balinese to minimise any risk to tourists? Also, any helpful tips? Many, many thanks!!!
