down to how you feel within yourself and your surroundings. I have travelled to Bali 6 times and three trips have been on my own. I put things in place like not telling taxi drivers Im on my own not walking around late at night on my own. Im female and have no hesitation going anywhere and doing things. If I worried about my safety all the time I wouldnt leave my home. Our next trip is in May and my girlfriend who is also coming wants to go to Thailand as a side trip. My husband has refused downright not going, thats just a miner hicup for me as Im one that once Im in bali I would just go buy a ticket and go. Its no disrespect to my husband, or me getting my own way. He just likes to stay put and chill out. Where Im here there and everywhere. We both still have a great time. We are here for a short time not a long time enjoy your life while you can. Have a happy holiday Im sure once you are there you will forget all about warnings. Also just to let you know CHCH is my home town we will be there in March they just had another quake this morning .5 that wont stop us going. Take care and enjoy.
