I agree with you, I was in Sydney a few weeks ago too...it is a beautiful city, but i didn't feel safe. It was very expensive and my family didn't enjoy it like we enjoy our Bali holidays. I agree with everything everyone has said on here, one last spin on things....when your numbers up - it's up. Something can happen in your street. You can drop dead at the drop of a hat. So, my philosophy, enjoy life, be safe, be kind to others. What goes around comes around. Enjoy your holiday...I plan to and I have my elderly parents with me this time too. What will be will be....
