Just a quick update for those of you not lucky enought to be in Bali.
Weather is awesome - best ever at this time of the year, beaches in Leagian filthy and disgusting, exchange rate $A7400, wine & spirits very very expensive.
Restaurants, all are in Legian - Bianco - very nice modern Italian/med food quiet but nice.
Poco Loco - aweful,aweful aweful, what more can i say perhaps the worst Mexican i have ever had, we went because of fond memeories from a visit a few years ago. You could get better Mex in Manchester or Penrith. BTW 1 person in our hotel thought it was fantastic
Lanai- Great lunch will probably visit again.
Indonational - good food well priced, only complaint i can make is when we went to pay by using our credit card we were told "we don't take credit cards" when challenge about this the waiter then said "sorry machine down" when challenge about this he didn't deny that he was lying. This might seem petty but if you do not want to accept credit cards put up a sign - don't lie. We will not be going back and have advised a couple of people of this practicewho will not going there as well.
Bali is quiet and shopping is good (wife tells me)
