For god sake why do some people always have to jump at another persons view on things????Two things I totally agree with you on my husband uses his card when he feels like it(whats the problem cheap or not we do it in aus)YES Im just back it was QUIET!!!! Ive been four times this year(lucky me)mostly for business but this month for a friends 50. Ive been also going bali over 30 years every year except one and YES its quiet My daughter who works for garuda agrees lots cancelations but hotels are booked out heavens know why cause I havent seen that many people on streets but I believe its due to the changes and scares in bali everyone heads off on tours the mountain areas are doing really good business with tours(sorry if Im wrong)the beach especially legian seminyak is DIRTY it STINKS!!!!Theres so much building going on everywhere,the roads are constantly dug up the traffic has worsened 100% theres so many nut case tourists hiring cars and bikes some without any licenses, the language of a lot of the sellers in bali resort to F..Off!!!Yeh theres no changes get real some forumtes take off those rose coloured glasses!!!Yeh we love bali we not on the forum to discuss it if we dont will I go back YES I love the balinese people to much to say no.But as a friend who just came back with me and has travelled to bali for years loves his surfing and out of way spots says hes not returning he cant cope with the rubbish and paddling through plastic bags and whatever crap thats floating off the beaches,getting harrassed and hes son punched in the back for not buying a braclet,bali belly more than once this trip,the flue thateveryone catches,the yobbos that constantly walk the streets and give the balinese a mouth full with their bintangs in their hands,the noise,the not so sweet smelling bali,the price hikes,etc etc...balis changing yeh Ive heard the wonderful stories sanur,nusa dua still same not!!!I remember my friends farm where Club Med now built him climbing trees to get us coconuts sitting watching the surf from his family hut the small fires burning,the smells of chilli and spices from cooking near by then I remember him been made to sell his land MADE TO so club med could build there changes not !bali has for the better?no way everything for the balinese familys skyrockted except their wages my friends unborn child just died because he couldnt borrow enough money to cover all hospital bills bali same NO not how I remember it!!!!!!!!!!!sorry got carried away what Im trying to say I agree with you! p.s.any baggers dont bother know who you are dont open your posts!!!!!
