Just spend 2 wonderful weeks at the KTH. We went to Bali with 8 families. We were spread from Kuta to Legion. (Well so we thought!)

Two families were booked in at the LEGION BEACH HOTEL. One was a family of 3 and the other a family of 8. When they arrived they were greeted at the airport and told that they had NO accomodation!! The hotel had been over booked. They were then take to the LBH to be told they would be relocated to other hotels for the next 4 days then they would be returned to LBH when rooms become available. The family of 3 were taken to a Villa about an hour out of Kuta. By the time they arrived there it was getting dark. There was no one else in the place. It was one of three villa's with no one reception desk, nothing. They had a little servant man to look after them and that was it. He didnt have much english so when they asked where the hell they were he couldn't tell them. They were only told that the power goes out at 9pm no lights! He left them at 7pm and said "I see you in morning".

We were at the KTH's and when we got back from the beach there was a message for me to ring this number URGENTLY. In doing so i find our friends are out in the middle of god knows where with not a soul around them, thinking, this is NOT what they had paid for. So i went straight to our wonderful friend Andrew at the KTH and he organized a room for them. My friends managed to see a sercurity guard up the road a bit so they got him to go and find a cab and with that they left the villa and came to the KTH's around 10.00pm. Not a good start to their holiday. It was very stressful and very upsetting.

Cant say enough about our Andrew he was amazing. So helpful we would of been lost without him. So that was one of my family of friends sorted. The other family of 8, (mum dad, 4 kids and 2 grandchildren, twins aged 6) where taken to Tanalot to the Meridien. Althou their rooms were amazing ($1,000 us a night)this is not where they wanted to be. We booked this holiday to be near each other and being a hour our of Kuta was not what they had chosen. They also were only in Bali for a week and didnt want to spend more than half of it away from all of us. So back to Andrew i go and very lucky for them he was able to offer them two apartments both 2 bed 2 bathroom. So the next day they left the Meridien and moved in to the KTH.

So all up now we had 7 families at the KTH, and it was so fantastic, the kids had a ball and of course us adults did as well.

I just dont understand how these hotels get away with overbooking like they do. We also had another couple that had booked the Seaview Cottages and were told the same thing!! Sorry no room, they also ended up at the KTH. Many stories were circulating while we were there of people that had no where to stay. Althou it worked out ok for my friends, thanks to Andrew and the staff at KTH, many people weren't so lucky.!!
