not the agent. there are some that do slip through where the agent is at fault, but the majority of overbookings are caused by the hotel.

if you come through a big agent like flight centre, you should have a 24 hour number that you can contact in the event that something like this happens. most of these bigger agents also have a ground operator in bali who can help you when you are in a bind.
