People ask me, why do I keep coming back to Bali... After tonight, I won't have an answer for them. Walking home as I have 1,000 times before, a local that was passing me king hit me in the stomach... I don't know if the years of Combat or just natural reflexes helped me, but I took the punch and just stared down this f#cking a$$hole for about 15 seconds before he ran off. It took every ounce of discipline I had not to chase after him and smash his f#cking face into a bloody pulp... But what I saw in his eyes when he hit me was pure desperation and when I didn't even flinch after the contact, it looked liked bottomless despair. If someone is that desperate then I pity them... I realise I'm not angry, just sad that my visits to Bali have now come to an end. This will be last and cheapest visit as I will not spend a cent on this island that I do not have to. The first day of my last stay on this island...
