To build a villa on for my and families use but do not class it as an investment more a lifestyle decision. I picked up the translated land contract from the notari a few weeks ago and am pretty happy with it. The land title is in my Indonesian friends name but on the contract it states that the buying and selling of the land and payment of money comes from me. Also states that if the land is sold my Indonesian friend will not demand compensation or commissions (although I would give him a commission if I did sell for a profit). Also states if he or I die that the land certificate will be passed to our heirs. And my friend is not entitled to sell the land without my consent.
Now the fun of building starts!
