As I said I purchased it, that is paid the money but the land title is in his name. My land contract has a government seal on it so they may frown on it but are happy to give me a small amount of security as in he can't sell without me, recognition that I paid for the land and that it will pass on to both his and my children. I'm happy with that and it was by no means a large amount of money for the land.
