DFAT have issued a non essential travel to indonesia and Bali warning, explaining that there is a very high risk of terrorist attack in areas where there are a lot of westerners such as Bali and Jakarta. We are 4 couples travelling in 2 weeks time. Already half of our couples are pulling out, with the rest a bit concerned and undecided. What are everyones thoughts on this? There was same warning issued last month because of the arrest of a prominent Indonesian terrorist captured and arrested in Pakistan, so DFAT fearful of retaliation attacks in Bali. But now the Osama death has only increased things. Love to hear what people are doing, are you still going if you have a trip booked, or are you having second thoughts??
