Just returned from GVC last weekend. Booked last November, and arrived to find the rooms we had booked are not available for our first 3 nights. What a joke. The other people we travelled with booked 3 weeks after us and they had there rooms. We were shuffled into a "apartment" for 3 nights.(believe me, nothing flash about cold showers and doors that don't lock) and then we had the Deluxe Rooms we had booked and confirmation for. Hotel staff were great people, maybe the management at this hotel could learn something from them. Noboby from the management even wanted to apologise or try to the whole time we were there. Would we stay there again? Probably not! A real shame, because the location is great and the hotel working staff(not management) are also fantastic. I'll start searching the forum again for another place to try.
