Hi all, I have started researching a trip to go back to Bali, hopefully for October this year, and despite having been 7 times before with hubby (those were the days), we now have two kids (3 and 1). Much seems to have changed since our last trip in 2003, not the least of which is the disappearance of direct flights from Brisbane (how rude!).
So, I'm seeking input firstly about flights. We have enough FF for a free trip on J* via Sydney from the Gold Coast, and while free is very appealing, the hours and travel time are a bit of a worry with the little ones, and I'm not sure how easy an o/s trip on a no-frills airline would be with a toddler in tow. We flew via Sydney on Qantas on our first trip to Bali together in 1995, and I vowed I'd never do that trip again and waste a whole day in transit, so we always opted for Garuda out of Brizvegas.
I'm beginning to think, after reading the archives here, it would be better to pay for the flights and try Singapore Air.
I know Air Asia flies out of Cooly, but again, concerned about no-frills and kids.
Any thoughts?
Cheers,
Rachael
