Don't ever come to Bali without it. I have been here for 2.5 weeks with a large group of people and so far 3 of them have ended up at BIMC and without Insurance it would have been a nightmare.
The first was a accident on NYE when my friend slipped on rain soaked stairs and got whiplash, estimated bill at BIMC was $4000 USD.
Second was a friends daughter that cut her foot open, estimated bill $1000USD
and lastly one of the people travelling with us woke up in terrible pain the other night, and has a bowel obstruction and is being evacuated to Singapore this afternoon. Cost for evacuation is about $28,000. If he were to be evacuated to Perth the cost was $60,000 so the insurance company are taking him to Singapore (we are all from Melbourne)
anyway, it's raining here again
