Help - I need some advise. I am trying to decide between 3 hotels for this May. I organize a girls group every year (2 this year) to Bali and am trying to decide on which hotel to stay at this time. We've stayed at the Sofitel a few times but their rates have really increased for 2008. Stayed at the Kartika Plaza this past November and thought it was good. We like the location (for the shopping) and the pool and swim up bar was a big hit. It was nice to be able to see the ocean and pool from the balcony.
Has anyone stayed at the Padma that can comment on the Deluxe Chalets versus the Garden Club Chalets. I know the Garden Club has the Club benefits - are they worth the extra cost. The beach looks nicer at the Padma vs. the Kartika Plaza.
I also found there were lots of great restaurants near the Kartika Plaza. What are the restaurants around the Padma like.
I really liked the pool at the Kartika Plaza...large and never a problem getting chairs. Any comments on the pool at the Padma.
What's the shopping like around the Padma. I see they have a Mandara Spa but are there other spas close by.
Any suggestions or comments would be great.
