Word is on Fox News that the heads of Bali villages were warned about possible terrorist attacks after finding an "incomplete" bomb in a restaurant. Word is that the Powers That Be chose to wait. WAIT????? For what? I understand that the news folks don't always get it right, but I sure would like to get the real story on this one. Did the Balinese drop the ball? Put aside all those warm, fuzzy feelings about the locals and get to the bottom of it. The Balinese KNOW who IS Balinese and who is NOT. Who is local and who is not. Why in the world would they ignore this warning, in view of what had happened earlier? I am SO angry. I hope I am angry for nothing. Here in the US, there has been an alert for the NYC subway system, so there will be searches of backpacks etc. there. Granted, it may not prevent anything, but they are trying. I have a loved one in NYC. I hope the police stop everybody and search them. I am, frankly, confused. I was really, truly looking forward to going to Bali in June. But if even the locals don't care enough to do anything????? H*ll. Make me feel better, please!
