Hotels, restaurants, including 28 cafes in the Jimabaran area were warned that they might be targeted and should beef up security following the discovery of a partialy made bomb in august at the Kuta Paradiso Hotel . Polisi gathered village security chiefs in the area and briefed them on ways to prepare. Village leaders agreed with the plans to increase security but requested that implementation be delayed until after the Gulangan celebrations.
