Lombok

We are traveling to bali in april for our 5th trip for 4 weeks.We are staying at kumala and have decided to check out for 1 week and have a look else where and then return to kumala for the last 2 weeks so we thought lombok might be worth a look at.
so here are a few questions some of you may be able to answer for us
1/best option to get there (rough idea on price)
2/price on accommodation (similar to kumala)
3/best places to stay
4/is it more expensive than bali
5/what to do and not to do
