Hire a car, where, how much ??

We are thinking of getting an International licence(costs thru the RACV $30.60 and you must supply a current drivers licence and passport size photo) and driving ourselves over to the East caost them up north and returning to Gianyar then Legian.
Its a difficult time to get a driver to take us over east, then pick us up 2 days later then back to Gianyar then Legian, and Galungan in the middle.
So ...... we are thinking that this is the holiday to get out of our comfort zone and hire our own vehicle for a 4 days or so.

We would appreciate any suggestions on where to hire a car from the Legian area and what sort and approximate costs?
