Duta Kereta Express in Padma Street Legian. We have just returned from Bali and hired a car from them for 18days, paid 170,000rp a day for a brand new Avanza with only 200kms on the clock. This includes Insaurance. My understanding of the car insaurance you have as part of travel insaurance is for medical care of you have an accident while driving a hired car.
You will love driving and probably will not look back once you give it a try, its so much more convenient, for example once you get to where you are going you can use the car to drive to restaurants that are too far to walk etc. We will always drive and have done so for the last 9 trips.
