I dont understand how you say you dont have car hire insurance but travel insurance has car excess. Wouldnt the travel insurance be only covering excess of a motor vehicle insurance policy?
If you dont have an insurance policy then you could only be covered under the indemnity clause
We will provide cover if, as a result of Your negligent act occurring during the Period Of
Insurance, You become unintentionally legally liable to pay compensation in respect to
damage caused to someone else's property or the injury or death of someone else.
That could be tricky with a Bali claim when you werent at fault and they suggest you are at fault. Receipts ??
