For god sake what is all this crap and on-going criticism of Jetstar. I am in no way connected to Qanats or Jetstar but have flown with Jetstar numerous times both domestically and to Bali. I have never had any problems with the staff on Jetstar - unlike the cocky little upstart that one finds on everyone's favourite (except mine) Virgin Blue who are anal about the way that cabin luggage is stored and constantly push all those crap books written by their founder. I too was concerned about legroom travelling to Bali as compared with Garuda (whom I have also travelled with numerous times) and found that it was quite comparable. The planes that Jetstar use are modern, comfortable - unlike their big sister Qantas who uses all the old ones that rattle and shake. As for the complaints about the food and extras that everyone complains about - well these options are well advertised and one has the choice of purchasing same or bringing your own on-board. As for the comparable prices with Garuda and the likes - I recently tried to get flights to Bali aound the Easter period. I tried Garuda and found that the airfares for a family of 3 was over $700 more than that with Jetstar. Now how many cans of Bintang and dishes of nasi goreng can one buy for $700? Also you fly in the knowledge that the airline is owned and run by one of the world's safest airlines in Qantas. Personally if anyone here doesnt want to fly Jetstar all well and good... it will just retain the lower priced tickets for those of us who expect a decent quality reasonably priced airline to fly to one's destination. I too have had minor issues with Jetstar just like any airline that I have flown but nothing that makes me so personally against the airline that some people seem to bring up. A recent example of Jetstar bashing I must say I found amusing - they were blamed when flights from Sydney were grounded due to weather conditions and the staff at Sydney airport decided to throw waiting passengers out of the terminal - Jetstar were blamed for gods sake! How about looking at the a**ehole of the world Sydney airport.

Whingers - go try Air New Zealand, Vietnam Airlines, Lufthansa and see how the service ad airlines compare.
