Last year my wife and I decided it would be nice to go to Kuta beach, hire a couple of deck chairs, relax and sip back a few bintangs. The beach area we went to was at the end of Jl Pantai Kuta, reffered to as beach road. Nosooner had we sat down, drinks in hand we were surrounded by a large group of beach hawkers offering saris. massages etc etc.Now we are used of dealing with the shopkeepers but this was a new form of aggression, they would not take no for an answer and persisted for a long time. I did what any red blooded Australian male would do and took off into the ocean and let my wife handle the situation. We never went back to Kuta beach for the rest of the holiday. We are going back in March and want to give the beach thing another go.Could anyone recommend anoter area of Kuta beach with less hawker hassles, for example opposite Poppies Lane 2 ??? I dont expect any area to be totally hassle free, just not as full on as the last time. Thanks in advance for helpfull replies advising me of your favourite beach spot.P.S just to pre empt the critics,No I dont want to go to a desert island'; Yes I know the beach sellers have to make a living,Yes ther may bee sum spelin misteaks, Think that covers it all.CHEERS
