need some advice please, although we have never been charged my brother just returned yesterday they had 60kgs 40kg is the limit and they give you a 5kilo waiver but the queues were empty and plane only 20 percent full. Unfortunately he had a heated discussion with the so called qantas employee at the airport and he took off the waiver and charged 11.00us per kilo. After much heated discussion the employee found out that my brothers wife actually works for qantas and said why did he not say so before (obviously would have been treated differently). There were others in the room at the time and he asked so you would treat us differently to the other people in this room and he said yes. My brother took down all the details and paid the fine as could not believe how corrupt these officials are (only second visit a lot to learn) but who else has been in this situation and not had to pay???? what are your rights?????
