swimming at beaches

Hi All,

Reading more and more about Bali, I'm beginning to build up a picture of dirty polluted beaches.

To me it would be a shame not being able to swim in the ocean. I realise all the hotels have pools, but it's not really the same. I wondered if that is the case everywhere in Bali, or true of only certain areas.
