... yes it was posted by the visa company, so we checked with our visa service, and they confirmed the change (but my local visa person was not 100% up to date yet with the noted changes - she will be getting back to me next week).
It can be a challenge to live here for many months at a time and running a business (not all laying around a pool drinking Bintang I assure you), so this just adds to the extra costs of trying to do business here.
If we hear any more on these proposed changes, we will re-post.
