Comparing the cost of an Australian visa doesn't mean anything particularly when many nationalities visit Australia for free. The VOA fee rise isn't for Australians only. Indonesian visitors coming to Australia are caught up in a particular stream of racism which assumes they are more likely to be coming to Australia with the intention of overstaying but this discounts the fact that most overstayers are British.
