I agree absolutely. As a baby boomer, we got no handouts for anything. No maternity leave, no baby bonus, no handouts of any sort. We only got it if we worked for it. So to those who want to have a whinge about no pension when they retire, my suggestion is to seriously work on your superannuation. Salary sacrifice is a good start. Doesn't have to be a lot. Just an extra $5 per week will make a big difference after a few years.
