Therefore, who had the money for a deposit for a house? Not me! So we rented, and sat on furniture from the Salvation Army shop. As a result, I benefited from nothing at all. What I have is a result of hard work only. And saving carefully. And before you start again, there were a lot of people out there doing it hard like me.
