My friend and her family were supposed to be going to bali this coming weekend. They booked accommodation through Putu Villas Seminyak. they have travel insurance through HIF.
Unfortunately my friend has come out of hospital after an emergency operation, which has left her unable to fly. Drs and Hospitals have provided her with notes.
Putu villas wont refund her money, or any part of it. Nor will they postpone her dates for another time.
Her travel insurance have told her she needs to follow up with Putu villas to get her money back.
Does this sound right? I would think the travel insurance company would follow up.
She also recieved an email from Putu Villas, telling her, the accommodation has now been cancelled and no money will be returned, so even if her husband wanted to still go with the kids, they have now cancelled her accommodation
Does anyone have any advice on how to handle this. My poor friend is in pain from surgery and this is the last thing she needs to deal with
