Very easy to make a mistake:
Give the taxi driver five red 100.000 IDR notes instead of five old and red 10.000 IDR notes. The new purple 10.000 IDR notes are slightly easier to distinguish when the light in the taxi is, on purpose, left switched off.
And to "meandmaverick" - there will be attempts on ripping you of 24/7 while you are in Bali. That is the new Bali. You are not a dumb tourist!
