Hi all,
after the last 10yrs of going to Thailand,Cambodia Laos & Vietnam, i had spur of moment decison the 2 nites ago & booked flights to Bali over Easter April 22 -29, only there a week. i am a single bloke 40's.
i found out yesterday an old school mate is living there now in Sanur, i emailed him and he suggested i stay there not in Kuta ,he staying at the Bali Senia Hotel.
i have read here it is a lot quieter than Kuta.
a few questions if i may please- i have looked on here but mayb someone may have more info.
is Sanur really quiet ?, i like to get out and about meet ppl listen to live bands have few beers etc (i know Kuta has a lot of bars) .
but i guess Kuta - Sanua is not that far in a taxi .
Bali Senia Hotel - has anybody stayed there recently ? or any reviews on the place?
i plan to travel light, just a carry on bag,as i dont need much in a week anyway. - (a question for Aussies)- my friend asked if i can bring him a jar of Vegemite over , is that ok with carry on luggage , - i know its not a liquid or gel, but i unsure if i can or not.
from reading this forum the past few days, it will be a great holiday and i'am really looking forward to it and mayb meet a few of u there,
as i've been looking on net for info on Bali last nite, i found this site called "fugli-bali" - if i went by twhat they say it sounds like the most dangerous place in the world, nobody should go there? has anybody heard of it, it is completely the opposite to this great info site, everybody here loves Bali & are regular visitors, so it cant be that bad .
