We flew to bali 31/1 returned on the 15/2 and now hve to say the are a very good low cost airline.

Leaving perth i took a surfboard that was way over the 2mtr limit, after a breif chat to the bagage handler, he said no worries we can fit it in. Flight over good with 175 seat a320 plane of which they only allow 145 seats to be used due to weight and balance, so if you need space ask at check in.

Leaving bali arrived at check in and after 10 minutes noticed the line not moving and a letter being passed down the line?
Was told that the plane would be 3 hours late and we could go to the prada lounge free while waiting.
After 25 minutes another letter was given to eveybody advising us that the flight had been canncelled and we would be departing the next day at 1045 am, the letter was given to us by a local rep for jetstar who said that we would be bussed to the Ramada in tuban.
From arriving at the airport to the Ramada took 3 hours, which considering that they needed to find 3 big buses and about 60-70 hotel rooms i thought was very good (good quality hotel with dinner and breakfast included).
The next day everything went smoothly and plane left 25 minutes late and arrived on time in perth.

A big thankyou to Captain Mark Diamond who flew from melbourne to perth to replace the other pilot to get the plane to bali and then getting us home (on his days off).

Also DONT used the hotel phone to ring home as jetstar dont pay for that as some people found out.

Also we both got a $200 jetstar travel voucher for the delay.

I would most definatly use jetstar again and i thought they handled the situation very well... jon
