I suddenly had a feeling I should check that there had not been any changes on our flights. The flights were booked with Pacific Blue back in October for August 09. On the return flight I had specifically selected a direct flight back to Adelaide which left at 3 pm arriving back in Adelaide at 9.35 pm as we have children travelling with us. I even had to extend our trip by a couple of days to get this flight much to hubbies disgust. I actually kept it a secret from him until xmas time as he only wanted to go for 10 days however I managed to get a compromise of 14 days however we are actually staying 17.
Upon checking our booking via the website it appears we not only are departing at 12.20 am but we are also now coming home via Brisbane which means we do not arrive back in Adelaide until basically 12 noon. This means 12 hours of travelling and half of it being overnight with 2 kids who will not sleep on a plane.
We have not been notified of any changes so I am a little annoyed to say the least. I am currently on hold with PB who are telling me I can change to another direct flight which also leaves just after midnight but not until the next day which means I then have to tell hubby that we are now going for 18 days. I dont mind the extra day but he didn't want to be there for that long as it is. Then we will also have to pay for another nights accomodation.
The PB rep has put me on hold to see what other options are available but I really don't think that this is acceptable.
The rep is now telling me that I have not been notified as they are still playing around with the flight times and they have just changed our flight to ensure we have one to get home.
Any advice on our entitlements in this situation would be appreciated.
