I've not really been keeping up with Bali-related developments since our holiday of March 2008 but with another planned for July 2009, I decided to catch up. Well, I don't know of too many places that respond to global financial crises, alcohol shortages and rabies outbreaks WITH price increases. What's going on? I'm no travel expert but prices in Thailand (who've had their share of trouble), Vietnam (stable as ever), Malaysia (same) etc seem to have dropped and in some cases significantly. Who's in charge of Bali? And what are they thinking?
