Yes you are on the mark with your post ,I know of a group in Perth 18 people who had booked their flights with one of the budget airlines and have paid extra to go to Phuket.
This rubbish of quoting prices in US$s when they are dealing with Australians will cost them dearly, mark my words.
Hotels will soon realise that you cannot put your prices up when there is a world money crisis.
Australians are already feeling it with our low dollar ,add to that increase in hotels and beer prices , they will stop coming.
