You are making quite a few yourself. I said I knew we would be over. My scales at home said by 8kgs. At the airport it said about 13kgs. I don't know where she came up with approx $300. I was expecting to pay but just not that much. I was not trying to get away with excess kilos but I thought they were lenient up to 5 kgs. so I thought I would pay around $20 kilo for 3kgs which I was happy to do.
I was feeding my baby but my Mum and Husband weren't and because we were upset at other on boards not being weighed my husband went and looked at what other bags were weighing... and before you ask she was the first checkin counter after star class so he didn't have to stand up right next to her to see the weight.
We weren't allowed 50kgs... We were only allowed 40 between the 3 of us. I would have thought since you know so much about airlines you would have known this.
Also my friend who works at the airport said that there are lots of complaints about this lady... It's not just me.
And my attitude, well I was in tears. I arrived at the checkin counter very happy and excited about our trip. My daughter smiling at the lady who didn't even acknowledge her. I left in tears. I'm more a person who keeps things inside. I did not treat her with any disrespect but thought I will put this on the forum instead of taking it out on her.
I'm glad you weigh less than me. I believe you should therefore be allowed more luggage than me. I think your total weight body and bags should be a certain weight and if over than you are charged. Then it would make sure that planes don't "fall out of the sky". A much more reliable way of making sure the plane has the correct weight.
