usually very basic planes (the one I took from Melb to Hobart felt realllly tinny), usually 3 & 3, unless you pay for it - no meal, drinks, blanket, pillows or entertainment system. Usually minimal or no luggage allowance included unless you pay extra and same with seating. With Tiger you can choose your seat but they charge you $8-$10 for the privelege!
Basically it's just your bum on the seat and not much else. If I'm on an o/night flight I take my own blanket and sml pillow.
I don't know, maybe you chose Jetstar for better flight times or something, each to their own who they fly with of course.
I'm grateful for the cheap fares with these airlines. I know it's basic but it's enabled me to travel to Melb, Bali & Singapore alot more often than I otherwise could.
We got flights with Virgin to Bali for $330 rtn from Perth(all incl) & I've just booked Singapore with Jetstar for $320 rtn(all incl). It definitely won't have the service of the other airlines but at least I'll be there I reckon. Personally, if I could get Garuda for that price I would go with them but these flights have cost about a 1/3 of the other airlines so I'll take em!
I do think there's no excuse for rudeness from their staff tho. Budget should not stop them from smiling at their customers!
Happy travelling. Hope your flight goes well & you have a great trip.
