I guess there was no "problem". Other than he was kept in hospital for 2 days with the conversations going around and around with doctors saying he needed pins in his collarbone as they were worried about it compounding and sticking out the top of his skin and then waiting for insurance to call who would then state it could wait and then the doctors would come and say he needed the op etc etc for 2 days. In the end they stated the cost was too high and that part of the conditions of the insurance was that if they deemed costs too high they could instead pay for your trip home instead. (Need to read the fine print-my fault!) They did however upgrade HIM to business class. He had his right arm completely immobilised and was in considerable pain and my thoughts are they could have upgraded at least one of the children to help him eat or at least help do up his pants after bathroom breaks etc. I thought it was a little callous to leave him to his own devices. Everyone expects different outcomes in these situations though.
